Achievement unlocks more ambition at Acumen. We're always seeking to do and be more for clients.
Nikos Manaras has been instrumental in making Acumen a reference point for campaigns that shape healthcare policy and practice. As a political strategist, he expertly navigates the pitfalls and promise of politics and knows how to predict a decision-maker’s next move. Media savvy with a network that spans leading outlets, he enables clients to tell stories with impact and deliver messages that move even the most entrenched interests.
Nikos has specialist expertise in pharmaceuticals policy and areas including intellectual property, pricing and access, vaccines, rare diseases, antimicrobial resistance and disease awareness. He has helped clients develop winning strategies and has advised senior leaders in the industry and the patient community. Since 2020 he has been included in the “Best in Brussels” list, an annual ranking of the top public affairs professionals in Europe’s capital.
Prior to joining Acumen, he forged influential coalitions amongst diverse stakeholders within a leading European healthcare professionals’ association. He has also spent years as a university researcher of European policies. His research enabled policymakers to make more informed choices based on solid evidence. He applies this same rigorous standard to client work at Acumen.
