When Mar entered the Brussels policy world, she brought with her a mix of global curiosity, sharp analytical skills and a genuine commitment to making policy work for people. Over the years, she has built experience across international organisations, industry stakeholders and EU institutions.
Her career has taken her from contributing to health policy discussions within payers’ associations and pharmaceutical environments to following policy developments on pricing, reimbursement and access to care at the EU level. Early on, she deepened her understanding of European policy processes during a traineeship at the European Commission, and she also worked with the United Nations in Namibia and with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation in Panama, where she gained firsthand experience in global health and development cooperation.
Mar holds a bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting and a master’s degree in Publishing, and speaks Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
