Acumen provides the opportunity to understand and confront global health challenges at a particularly salient time in global health affairs and governance.
Madeleine is a Global Health Trainee Consultant with a strong interest in a range of global health issues. Throughout her education in political science and international affairs, specializing in global security and global health, she was keen to translate theory into policy and practice.
Prior to Acumen, her studies and work experience focused on global security, health systems, and climate change. She completed her Master thesis on the socio-ecological and health related impacts of climate change-induced migration on communities. Madeleine previously worked as a research assistant in academic and legal environments, as well as an intern in corporate communications. Most recently she completed a year-long internship at a global health news reporting NGO based in Geneva, writing over 100 articles on COVID-19 vaccine development, national and international pandemic responses, and major debates in the global health field.
