Europe works best when knowledge, collaboration, and commitment meet at the policy table.
Lorette approaches European health policy with the precision of a researcher and the curiosity of someone who genuinely wants to understand how systems shape people’s lives. Having graduated with a B.Sc. in European Public Health and a M.Sc. in Health Policy, Innovation and Management from Maastricht University, quite literally at the heart of Europe, she has gained experience across key EU institutions and health organisations, combining policy analysis with hands-on understanding of legislative processes.
From the committee rooms of the European Parliament, where she supported a SANT MEP on files ranging from the Medical Device Regulation to the Critical Medicines Act, to her work at the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME), where she navigated pharmaceutical legislation and the European Health Data Space, Lorette has developed a sharp sense of how EU policies are negotiated, shaped, and ultimately felt by citizens. She brought this same drive to the European Junior Doctors Association, distilling fast-moving legislative developments and contributing to communication campaigns with clarity and purpose.
Now joining Acumen, she brings her grounded knowledge of EU health policy, her experience across institutions and stakeholder landscapes, and her commitment to evidence-based policymaking.
