Curious about people’s stories and their ways of life, Laura has worked in organisations across the public and private sector to understand how environmental and climate policies translate into concrete impacts. She joined Acumen’s Sustainability team as a Trainee Consultant, bringing her knowledge of environmental policies to key projects.  

Laura is keen to enhance the accessibility and inclusivity of sustainability policies across the business and civil society sectors. As a trainee for the Loss and Damage unit of the UN Climate Change, she supported the organisation of high-level events and outreach products at COP28. Conscious that institutional processes are difficult to understand and curious to gain some fieldwork experience, she then spent 6 months raising awareness on pollution for a local NGO in Benin. On her return, she became a trainee for the ENVI Committee Secretariat of the European Parliament, where she assisted parliamentary delegations and events related to COP30 and supported negotiations on key ENVI files.
