Bargheer

Senior Consultant

Sustainable policy is about paying attention to the local, sharing best practices and investing in innovation.

Ivan Bargheer has a keen interest in food systems and everything to do with food chains and agricultural reform. Having explored the interface between food and politics during his master’s degree, he has realized that agriculture is tradition, culture, politics, business, and the venue for profound sustainable change and practice in European and international policy. He has experience working as a chef at Michelin restaurants as well as the Special Committee on Agriculture at the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the European Union.

He works with a range of issues at Acumen and is interested in policy and legislative work in a broad sense, covering topics such as social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Working across sectors is vital to understanding the bigger picture according to Ivan.
