Guy has over 20 years experience supporting industry at the EU and international level, building alliances, and raising awareness on a broad range of issues. He recently moved away from working in trade associations to join a global communications agency and then Acumen in January 2022. Before this Guy spent 6 years at Cefic (European Chemical Industry Council) supporting Sector Groups, mainly in the fields of REACH and CLP.
Guy arrived in Brussels in 1999 for an internship in the European Commission. He began his career at AmCham EU followed by a network coordination role within the EU’s support office for small and medium sized enterprises. He has more than 10 years EU energy policy experience that includes 8 years in the European nuclear energy association, Foratom.
A UK native, Guy acquired Belgian nationality in 2019. He holds a BA in History and Politics from Oxford Brookes University and a MA in International Studies from Durham University.
