A sustainability transition requires an out of the box approach, reaching across companies, industries, and country borders. EU level policy can achieve this, but making such policy effective requires a collaborative approach.
Floor has shaped her academic and professional journey with the overarching goal to ensure a just and equitable sustainability transition. With her interdisciplinary background, she is keen on applying a systems-thinking approach to complex questions, utilizing different perspectives to navigate an increasingly complicated EU policy playing field.
Before landing at Acumen, Floor conducted various research projects for international organizations such as the United Nations and the G20 and was engaged as a sustainability consultant. Her most recent experience has been as a trainee at the Directorate General of Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission. Here, she was active in the international trade unit, focusing on the engagement of civil society organisations and the preparation of UN level committee meetings.
