"Janine Benyus said organisms don't see CO2 as poison; to them, it's a building block. Maybe it's time we borrowed some green wisdom—turning our mess into something useful instead of treating it like it's someone else's homework."
A vibrant Italian with experience in environmental resource management and sustainable development in the public affairs context. In his work, he always tries to bridge the gap between the technical environmental sphere and the bureaucratic jargon of EU public affairs.
He uses as tools what he learned during his Master of Science in Sustainable Development at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), where he studied carbon sequestration in the forests of KwaZulu Natal (South Africa) and Maltese farmers’ access to a reclaimed water resource on the island of Gozo (Malta). This is in addition to his experience as board member of an ecological civil society organization, and as co-editor of the EcoSprinter magazine.
Prior to joining Acumen, he worked for Hill&Knowlton in Brussels, and Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB) in Dublin. These experiences have honed his understanding, analysis and interpretation of European policy and politics, which he has combined with his academic experience in sustainability.
Finally, his professional identity is rooted in multilingualism, intercultural interactions and unwavering respect for others. In addition to his native Italian, his professional and academic experience has given him an excellent command of English, and his exposure to different cultures has led him to become fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese, while he is currently perfectioning his Flemish to become a proper Brusselaar.
