Carola
Frattini

Trainee

As the EU rethinks its approach to industrial and health policy, I’m driven by the challenge of aligning private sector perspectives with public goals, creating space for long-term competitiveness and meaningful stakeholder dialogue.

Carola has developed a strong interest in how European policy can support industrial competitiveness, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. Thanks to her experience in both public institutions and Industry representation setting, she has built a solid understanding of public–private dynamics and has become especially passionate about stakeholder engagement and strengthening connections between policymakers and industry.

Before joining Acumen, she worked at the Delegation of Confindustria to the EU, where she became increasingly interested in the connection between health policy and industrial strategy. She previously gained experience at the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU, where she followed interinstitutional dynamics and election-related developments, and at the Italian Chamber of Deputies, where she contributed to legislative drafting and EU policy monitoring.

Carola holds a double Master’s degree in Policies and Governance in Europe from LUISS Guido Carli and King’s College London, and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Warwick. Having lived and studied in Rome, Milan, Coventry, London and now Brussels, she brings an open and adaptable perspective to her work.

Outside of work, she enjoys running and hopes to return to playing the violin, which she studied for twelve years.
