Health is at the core of human wellbeing and development – building informed and innovative health policies is therefore an essential part of investing in our common future.

Passionate about the intersection of science and policy, Caitriona brings her multidisciplinary background in biology and the political sciences to inform her approach to health policy problems. Her diverse experiences have convinced her of the importance in using science to drive better-informed policies to foster both human and planetary wellbeing.

Before joining Acumen, Caitriona worked for the Directorate General for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (DG HERA) of the European Commission, where she developed both her knowledge of the EU policymaking process and health emergency preparedness. Additionally, she has prior internship experiences in the pharmaceutical industry and research institutes.

Caitriona holds a Master of International Governance and Diplomacy from Science’s Po’s Paris School of International Affairs, with a specialization in Environment and Sustainability. Additionally, she holds Bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and International Affairs from Northeastern University.
