Aidan
O'Connor

Trainee

Immersed in European politics throughout his studies and professional experience, Aidan has developed a strong interest in the EU health and life sciences policy landscape. Having studied and lived in international environments, including in Brussels, he brings a thoughtful and policy-driven perspective to his work, informed by both academic training and hands-on public affairs experience.

His interest in health policy has been shaped by his work in EU health public affairs, particularly in the life sciences sector, where he followed developments in vaccines policy, preventative healthcare and biopreparedness. Witnessing the growing prominence of health within the European policy agenda, he is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to policy discussions that have a tangible impact on citizens and health systems across the EU.

At Acumen Public Affairs, Aidan applies a rigorous and collaborative approach to his work, supporting policy research, monitoring and drafting across health-related files. Curious and solutions-oriented, he is committed to delivering high-quality work that reflects the needs of clients, stakeholders and the broader public interest.

“Across a shifting geopolitical landscape, the strategic importance of health has never been clearer. At Acumen, our rigorous and collaborative approach supports clients in navigating complexity and shaping effective outcomes in the health sector.”
