Would you like to be part of a young, fun, dynamic and international team? We are currently looking for a HR intern to join our Admin Team. Then this offer is for you!

As a growing company, Acumen will allow you to work on various projects (mainly within the Recruitment, Performance Management and HR Administration fields), so you can develop your HR skills and get to know what you love doing most.  

 Profiles of candidates wishing to apply for a HR internship at Acumen Public Affairs should ideally present the following characteristics:  

  • Anacademic background in Human Resources, Admin or Business Management  
  • Perfect command of English– French and/or Dutch are a plus 
  • Goodorganisational skills and an eye for details  
  • Knowledge ofHuman Resources, Business Management and/or Administration 
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment

 About Acumen: 

 Acumen Public Affairs (www.acumenpa.com) is an independent consultancy based in heart of the European district in Brussels, with both European and International clients.  The consultancy was launched in 2010 and brings together more than 75 years of public affairs and strategic communications expertise in the shape of its four partners, Elaine Cruikshanks, Giles Keane, Nikos Manaras and Max von Olenhusen, who have advised corporations, governments, trade associations, NGOs and international institutions in Brussels, Geneva and beyond. The consultancy’s philosophy is to be “hands on” in assignments, and for partners working as part of a team to be personally involved from beginning to end of all assignments. In this way, Acumen provides strategic thinking and high-level advice from the outset to the completion of projects.  Assignments deal with issues across a range of sectors including health and global public health, digital and sharing economy, sustainability.  

 The Acumen team of 50+ people work on a range of issues for clients that include companies and associations.  Acumen projects range from tailor made monitoring of policy issues with impact on businesses and/or sectors, public affairs and communication campaigns, strategy development, policy events, media relations specifically relating to policy, as well as social media campaigns. 

 About the internship: 

 Internships are generally open to students who are looking for work experience to complement their studies or for whom it is an academic requirement. As we are a growing business, interns have a unique opportunity to get involved in many different projects, put into practice what they have studied and try out new things. 

 Starting date: ASAP 

Length: 3 to 6 months 

Time commitment: Part-time or full-time 

Teleworking: Teleworking is possible up to 3 days per week. We do ask you to come to our office in Brussels at least 2 days per week (this may vary depending on Covid measures) 

 Please note that we offer compensation in the form of reimbursement of meal costs for an amount of 8€/day as well as public transport within Brussels.
