"Arthur C. Clarke said that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. I love learning about all the things modern medicine can do and has done for people: that’s like magic to me."
Hannah Bettsworth got involved in health policy out of a commitment to breaking down the barriers to participation in political and social life for people living with disabilities, and it is that commitment which drives her interest in market access and health technology assessment policies that get innovation to the people who need it most.
She has a talent for taking complex policy documents and scientific research and turning it into compelling messaging for policymakers and the public, and for developing concrete policy solutions to bridge the gap between aspiration and implementation. At Acumen, she brings those skills to bear in understanding clients’ challenges and helping to address them through public affairs and thought leadership.
