" Healthcare policy affects real people's lives, which is what drew me to this field in the first place. I try to keep that in mind in the work I do at Acumen. "
Amin joins Acumen with a background spanning international development, public health and industry, and a growing interest in the policy and funding questions shaping healthcare in Europe. His path so far has given him the ability to move comfortably between institutional, industry and civil-society settings, and to translate complex regulatory and operational questions into clear, actionable insight.
Before joining Acumen, Amin was a trainee at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm, where he supported the agency’s emergency response to the Ebola outbreak alongside longer-term strategic and performance work. He also interned at a healthcare clinic in Tunisia and worked at Siemens Healthineers. His interest in healthcare traces back to volunteering as a caregiver for children with disabilities and the elderly.
A German-Tunisian national, Amin studied European Business Studies at OTH Regensburg and Excelia Business School in La Rochelle, followed by a Master’s in International Development and Public Policy at Nova SBE. At Acumen, he brings this background to the healthcare team, supporting clients across the wider policy landscape shaping healthcare in Europe. Outside of work, he is a regular at the gym and enjoys running.
