"Effective public affairs is about simplifying complexity, building trust, and creating constructive dialogue between organisations and decision makers. At Acumen, clients can rely on us to provide tailored strategies that not only navigate policy developments, but help shape meaningful and credible outcomes. "
For Samuele Giovannoni, public affairs is about making complexity understandable and turning dialogue into meaningful impact. Based in Brussels, he works at the intersection of healthcare, innovation, and EU policymaking, helping organisations navigate complex regulatory and political environments through clear strategy and constructive stakeholder engagement.
Before joining Acumen, Samuele worked in two healthcare public affairs consultancies, where he advised pharmaceutical companies and medtech trade associations, patient organisations, and professional societies on a broad range of EU health policy issues. His previous experience includes projects related to rare diseases, cardiovascular health, chronic diseases, and healthcare innovation, with a strong focus on translating complex legislative and regulatory developments into practical and actionable insights.
He believes that effective public affairs is built on trust, dialogue, and highly tailored strategies. Particularly interested in how policy can facilitate innovation while delivering tangible societal benefits, Samuele values building bridges between institutions, industry, and civil society.
Originally from Florence, Italy, he holds degrees in International Relations and European Studies. He is fluent in Italian and English and speaks conversational French.
